En Vogue

While lounging on the deck overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean with September Vogue in hand I've decided to put together a little "Cheat sheet" of the most important fall trends for my ViVi G. Girls:

I've simplified it into categories to make your lives a bit easier when shopping for your fall ensembles.

Colors:
  • CAMEL (VIP color, gigantic, HUGE...get a camel sweater/scarf/coat/boot...whatever the accessory just get it).
  • Army green (I enjoy this color in a handbag as it is easily adaptable to all of your neutral clothing and shoes)
  • Cobalt (obsessed. Mommy has this color on her nails right now). Pop it with a handbag or a piece of jewelry showcasing this romantic and sexy color. BTW- this looks GREAT with red. Watch Sex and the City and you'll see lots of this combo.
  • Leopard & Cheetah print EVERYTHING. Don't overdue it at one time. Choose one piece in your outfit that displays this print. You don't need to look like Jane of the Jungle. Purrrrrrrr.

  • Black. (duh)

Shoes
  • itty bitty kitten heels with pointy toes for the elegant yet chic woman.
  • thick high heels for the wild woman.
  • loafers of all sorts
  • metal eyelet detailing
  • pointy flats, round flats, mini wedge flats.
  • CLOGS (mid heel, low heel, high heel)
  • Studding detail and rocker chic embellishments (yes it's still here and not going away...who doesn't love an edge?)
Boots

  • Riding boots. HUGE.
  • Over the knee
  • Mid-calf (thank goodness...this is very flattering for the leg)
  • Platforms (we need that comfort when wearing a boot with a heel)
  • Leather corset weave detail (see picture above).
  • Flat boots with built in mini-wedges
Handbags
  • Soft embellishments (i.e- woven leather, mini studs, quilting, light chain handles)
  • Double pockets
  • Metallic hardware
  • Double carry handle options (long strap and double short strap)
  • Classic shapes -think Hermes inspired Kelly & Birkin (just like our own handmade handbags made in Italy are from $295-$495 and have been a best seller since the opening of our doors two years ago!)
  • Rectangle/square flap bags (think classic Chanel) only we have this shape from Rebecca Minkoff, Elaine Turner, and many more
  • Cross-body mini bags (love love love these...so easy and understated)
  • Exotic prints (ViVi G. has genuine and embossed)
Stay tuned for the Fall 2010 trends in jewelry...you won't want to miss it....

Happy Shopping
