It's a Private Matter

"Oh, how fun! You made your own handbags!"

Yea. Let me tell you girls, this was no easy feat.
It's true, anyone can "design" a handbag.
But, ViVi G.'s are good.
I mean real good.

You see, Sherri, (my nino) ventured to Italy.
Side note, Sherri has been spotted laying out on the Amalfi Coast and perusing the shopping districts of Milan.
But.
Not this time.
No.
This time she was all business.
Again, she tried speaking Italian to communicate to the old Italian men EXACTLY how she wanted her handbags designed.
Again, she was shot down; agreeing to communicate via drawings.
Yes.
Drawings and heavy sign signals to signify the shape of her bags, color of her leathers, and the exact hardware she requested for easy access getting into the bags (we all know this is of the utmost importance, don't we girls?)

She did not leave until every handbag was exactly to her specific requirements.
Yes, she took a break and had wine with the old Italian men.
Yes, she made sure they were sober before hand making the handbags.

Sherri wanted to have a handbag in the store that was unique.
Not in the shopping malls.
Not really anywhere in all of the land!
Sher wanted an unbeatable price point that could not be beat.
And she did so by going directly to her factory.
A very small factory in the hills of Tuscany where old Italian men sit and hand craft handbags the old fashioned way.
She did this, because she loves her fashionista customers.
Okay.
And because she really really really likes Italian handbags.
and Italian wine for that matter.

So, to make a long story short(er).
The parties this week launching our private label bags are not to be missed.

A Fashionista Bed Time Story...

What exactly is resort?
Well, I like to think of them as "vaca" shoes....and for some it's almost like a spring preview.

Let's start with a story...

Once Upon a Time in the Land of Fashion...

It has been told, that many a fashionista, towards the end of fall, will begin their search for "resort" and "early spring" shoes and sandals.
These fashionista's may already have their new fall attire.
Some of these fashionista's may not have purchased their winter jacket yet.
They may not have even seen the first snow of the season.
They may not even have their plans for Thanksgiving set.
But.
They are ready and waiting with their "resort" shoes.
It's almost like a "secret society."
The fashionista's are on the prowl.
They NEED to know the new trends for coming months.
They may even act like they're looking at the incredible selection of boots at ViVi G.
But.
Their eyes start to wonder to the white shelves with the pastel colored pumps and open-toed sandals.
Waiting.
Wishing.
Wanting the warmth of their vacation spot or the end of February where the sun begins to shine a bit brighter.
So, this is Resort.
A hope.
A glimmer.
A happy thought of something to look forward to.

The moral of the story is, stores everywhere are starting to get resort in...
But ViVi G. Shoes has the best in all the land.

And the fashionista's lived happily ever after.... : )

Skinny Minnie!

Here's the Skinny....

One of mommy's first ever buying trips for ViVi G. SHOES was to get Suzi Roher belts. Once in the showroom, it was like a shopaholic's dream. Belts of every color, pattern, texture, and material hanging everywhere! Not to mention you can customize your own. So needless to say, she was there for a while.
What's so great about Suzi Roher belts? Why this brand? Well, it happens to make you look good.
Really good.
And what fashionista doesn't want an accessory that adds pizzazz and slims the bod?
Umm no one I know.

Each belt, excluding the hammered metal (which happens to be just fabulous and lay very smooth), includes elastic. This brilliant invention has created another entity of the wearers of belts. Smooths your mid section and makes everyone have a waist.
Place the thicker ones on your waist over a blouse, sweater, or tank and the thinner ones through or over your belt loops for a chic look.
The original belt has ovals, but it didn't stop there...
Now, Suzi has added genuine stones, lucite, wood, and so many more incredible materials to make a belt, well... more than belt.
It's art that you wear.

It's a Wrap!

What do Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Lady GaGa, Whitney Port, and the New York Times have in common?
Chan Luu wrap bracelets.
Seen wrapped around the arms of celebs galore and just really awesome fashionistas in general and gracing the pages of magazine after magazine after newspaper and on television, these wrap bracelets are the IT thing.
And they have been for a while.
A great while.
And it's NOT cooling off.
Looks like a classic to me.

Besides looking super hot on their own, they also look fab layered with other bangles and bracelets.
The more the merrier.
I just hope mommy will buy me four.
What? I have four wrists.
